Duncan Hadley Triathlon, I did it...

When I was in middle school, my parents took me to watch my older cousin Travis do a Triathlon. As I watched I thought to myself I’m going to do that someday.

Well today I did it, at the exact same spot I watched Travis all those year ago. Thanks for the inspiration Tra! Also a big thank you to my bestie Evan @eezy.peezy for all the tips and encouragement, and to my parents for always being there to support me❤️ #triathlon #triathlete#klarneylake #firsttriathlon #proudparents❤️ #inspiration #bestfriends#swimbikerun @ Fredericton, New Brunswick

The Duncan Hadley Triathlon took place on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Killarney Lake Lodge in Fredericton, NB.  The event is well established as it has been hosted in the Fredericton area for over 25 years.

The swim start is at the Killarney Lake Beach, which is adjacent to the lodge.  The water temperature on race day typically ranges between 20 to 24 degrees Celsius.  The bike course loop has a nice mixture of climbs and flats and is closed to traffic. The 2.5 Km run course is a very scenic loop around Killarney Lake.  This is a very spectator friendly event so bring some friends and family members to cheer you on.

Coming out of the water after a 750m swim.

A third of my way through a 20k bike.

Crossing the finish line after my 5k run.

Im proud of my medal for finishing the triathlon.

Thank you Travis for the inspiration!
