History repeats itself- The original Dodge Warlock (1976 - 1979)Black and gold colors were in vogue during the late 70s and early 80s - and the original Warlock wore them well. Many, though not all, of the classic pickup trucks were painted black; the wheels were gold-colored, as was the exterior pinstriping. Naturally, the Warlock name was written in gold on the tailgate. The pickup also sported oak sideboards on the bed that were considered stylish…at least during the disco era.Inside, all Warlocks sported a black interior with gold accents throughout. Like most other vehicles built in the 70s, conveniences were sparse. The radio, air conditioning, cruise control - even the clock - were optional, not standard, equipment. Initially, the Warlock was supposed to be a one-off show vehicle. But it gathered enough interest that Dodge decided to produce it as part of the company's "adult toys" collection.
